ESTABLISHED A WEBSITE:
Sports Marketing .ie was set up by Conor Dunne and Dave Power because they hated spending hours of their day searching for decent sites to view sports marketing stories.
The site will contain daily updates of the latest sports marketing stories from Ireland, UK and the USA. All major and local news stories will be highlighted as well as sportsmarketing.ie’s opinion about the stories.
Sportsmarketing.ie acts as a reference point as to how organisations can get involved in sports marketing and the benefits that companies can receive from investing in sports. Sportsmarketing.ie also identifies the job opportunities in the sports marketing industry, both in Ireland and abroad.
Interviews and Questions and Answers sessions with leading sports marketing professionals from the client and sponsorship side will be conducted in the coming months.Sportsmarketing.ie will also conduct case studies of major sports marketing initiatives. This will highlight the effectiveness and benefits that exist if sports marketing is undertaken accurately.
It is currently getting 30,000 visits a month and is growing steadily.
SOCIAL NETWORKING CAMPAIGN
FOR A1 TEAM IRELAND , WORLD CHAMPIONS OF MOTOSPORT 2009
Conducted a social networking campaign to establish a community of fans of over 1,500 people. Engaged with fans through a competition that was established allowing fans the opportunity to drive with Adam Carroll, A1GP World Champion.
CURRENTLY WORKING ON:
Establishing a social networking campaihn for the Marketing Development Programme (MDP). The MDP is a commercially run business that runs as a Masters Programme known as the Master in Marketing Practise.
This social networking campaign will consist of Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and Blogs.
Also, teaching people to set up websites via WordPress, with the aim of having the MDP website run by the advisors on the programme.
